Michael joined the Technology and Innovation Development Office (TIDO) of Boston Children’s Hospital in May 2023. As an Alliance and Business Development Manager, he is responsible for building and managing alliances with external partners and internal stakeholders.
Prior to joining TIDO, Michael was Manager of the Neurorehabilitation Laboratory at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital (SRH) and was responsible for the day-to-day operations of all laboratory activities, including financial management, regulatory management, and oversight of laboratory staff. Prior to this, he completed two postdoctoral fellowships; one at SRH and another in the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences at Harvard University.
Michael received his PhD in Neurophysiology/Physiotherapy from the University of Queensland in Australia, where his research investigated the influence of pain on human movement, and completed his MBA in Health Sector Management at the Questrom School of Business at Boston University. He also holds a Bachelor of Physiotherapy degree from the University of Queensland.
