Colm Lawler joined the Technology & Innovation Development Office (TIDO) at Boston Children’s Hospital in May 2022 as a Senior Licensing Manager. He has been involved with intellectual property management and licensing since 1996 and prior to joining Children’s, held positions in a number of organizations, including BioResearch Ireland, Michigan State University, Massachusetts General Hospital, Tufts University and its affiliated hospital, Tufts Medical Center and finally at The Brigham and Women’s Hospital.

Colm received both his B.Sc. and Ph.D. qualifications from University College Dublin (Ireland) and completed 2 years of post-doctoral research before commencing his technology transfer career. He is a Certified Licensing Professional (CLP) and has been an invited speaker and/or moderator on technology transfer, intellectual property management and licensing best practices and is a co-author on 6 peer reviewed technology transfer publications.
