George Voren | Vice President, Founder Strategy and Operations
George Voren sits at the intersection of science, business, and medicine. He is currently at Curie.Bio, where he focuses on global sourcing of new therapeutic companies. He works closely with scientific teams to shape company concepts, design research plans, and guide startups from initial proposal to Series A funding. His role spans sourcing strategy and operations, and founder engagement across a global biotech network. Previously, George was part of the team at Flagship Pioneering, building early-stage biotech ventures such as Vesalius Therapeutics, and worked at Relay Therapeutics, where he contributed to the launch of multiple drug discovery programs in genetic disease. George began his scientific career at The Scripps Research Institute, earning a PhD in Neuropharmacology and contributing to the discovery of the first selective Orexin 1 Receptor Antagonist, which was licensed by AstraZeneca and brought to clinical trials for addiction.
