Mikael Bristow is the Director of Administration and Operations for the Technology & Innovation Development Office (TIDO) at Boston Children’s Hospital.
Mikael believes that her job is to help her colleagues have the tools, resources, and infrastructure they need to do their own jobs successfully. She works with all areas of TIDO’s operations (database, finance, IT, etc) to support the protection and licensing of Boston Children’s intellectual property.
After earning a BA in International Studies and English from the University of Miami she relocated to Boston to pursue an MBA in International Management at Boston University. Upon graduating, she briefly dabbled with a marketing career at a life sciences consulting firm before landing at a non-profit.
Mikael was the Operations Director for the Junior League of Boston for 10 years and contributed to several major projects that helped rebuild the organization’s infrastructure. These projects included the renovation of the historic headquarters building, overhaul of the website, and conversion of the database. Mikael is incredibly proud of these projects, which helped to position the organization for its next 100+ years of service to the Boston community.
Additionally, Mikael is a past Treasurer for the Fenway Garden Society, which manages the Fenway Victory Gardens where she also maintains a garden plot. She was also a founding Board member of the b.good Family Foundation, giving micro-grants to inspired individuals hoping to improve their communities.
Mikael is thrilled to be part of the TIDO team at Boston Children’s Hospital, and to be able to support the amazing work being done for patients and their families.
